Meeting Minutes from 9/17/05

Our first meeting of the new year was called to order on Jan. 15th by president, Bruce Tilkens.  New officers were introduced.  They are president Bruce Tilkens, vice-president Carl Christensen, secretary Peggy Olsen (excused), treasurer Lee Schmidt and board member Jerry Thirion.  Minutes were recorded and published by Sue Tilkens.

There were many ideas and much enthusiasm regarding the club goals and priorities.  The goals included boosting membership, club promotion, events/fund raisers, maps & signs and trail expansion.  Club members are also interested in having more rides, poker runs, cookouts or other fun events.

It was agreed a Spring event/fund raiser is a top priority.  The Wheel Inn, Corner Convenience and Curve Inn are all willing to hold an event.  We are checking into possible dates.

Club members also voted to go ahead with a website.  Thanks to a talented volunteer we now have a website.  It is in the early stages so we could use any pictures you may have of club activities.

Jim Pecha will bring information about stickers and decals to the next meeting.  Lee Schmidt is  looking into getting banners made to be placed along the trail promoting Woodland trails.  Glenn Goetz (Curve Inn Bar) is working on the feasibility of trail expansion to include Curve Inn and Thunder Mt. Valley Inn.

Club meetings are every 3rd Saturday of the month at 9AM.   Odd months will be at the Wheel Inn.. Even months will be at the Crossroads Bar.  Terry Schmelzle offered to bring a mystery door prize to all meetings in 2005.

Our NEXT MEETING is Feb. 19th 9 AM at the Crossroads Bar.  Our main agenda item will be the Spring event.  We hope you can attend and share your ideas.
