Meeting Minutes 1/16/10
January 16th, 2010
1. President Roger Steinbach called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m. at Curve Inn
2. Pledge of Allegiances was said
3. Welcome and Introduction
4. Agenda Additions
Stu Ninabuck from Liberty Mutual Insurance
Vice-President Jim Pecha will lead rides when Roger Steinback in unavailable
UTV (side-by-side) may be coming statewide but not in national forest
Rubber gloves will be available for roadside clean up
5. Stu Ninabuck presented information on insurance rates. It is best to have your ATV insurance on your auto policy rather than your homeowners insurance.
6. Old Business
A. 2009 Annual Meeting Minutes - motion to accept by Jerry, seconded by Sue
B. October Meeting Minutes - motion to accept by Jerry, seconded by Jim
C. Incorporation of Woodland Trails ATV is complete. Club will be non-profit after tax time.
D. Treasurer's Report read - motion to accept by Jerry, seconded by Connie
E. Discussed other possibilities for trail landowners: gift certificates, gift cards, check or cash. It was decided to continue giving the landowners gift certificates.
7. New Business
A. Move club meeting to April 24th because of WATVA Annual Meeting
B. Move September 18th ride to September 25th (the last Saturday)
C. WATVA Annual Meeting. Connie made a motion to have the club pay for one night's stay for Roger and Kathy (as in year's past), seconded by Sue
D. Zac Hoogstra's Memorial Fund. Read email from Zac's younger brother. Use the fund to keep the map signs up-to-date and looking good. Memorial Ride for Zac on July 17, 2010 and fundraiser for rescue squads. Put up a plaque on the map signs as a thanks for the memorial fund. Invite the family and friends to the ride and fundraiser. Judy Burley volunteered to rubber band the information for Zac's ride and fundraiser.
E. Double the candy for the Crivitz parade.
F. Trail Patrol Class will be offered on January 30, 2010.
G. Annual Meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2011.
Motion made by Jerry to end meeting after Crivitz Rescue presentation, seconded by Harold.
Dave from Crivitz Rescue talked about what they do and he explained important tips for first aid when out on the trails. Do you know where you are when you come upon an accident? It is important to make your your cell phone GPS is enabled so emergency responders can find your exact location. Crivitz Rescue taught two CPR classes at Crivitz schools and there was discussion about scheduling a Woodland Trails ATV Club CPR class.
