Meeting Minutes from 3/19/05
The March meeting held at the Wheel Inn Bar was called to order at 9am by president, Bruce Tilkens.
MINUTES from February meeting were passed as read.
TREASURER’S REPORT was deferred this month as Lee is out of town.
OLD BUSINESS
Club decals - sample design & price approved by club. One decal will be free with paid membership. Additional decals will be $1.50/small & $3.00/large
T-shirts - last year’s shirts are now available for $10.00 each
New shirts - samples & prices approved by club. Silk screened t-shirts & embroidered hats will be ordered. Sweatshirts and embroidered polo & denim shirts will be ordered per individual request. Contact Jim Pecha to purchase or order.
June 11th event at Corner Convenience - Barb Hock reported we have town board approval. Need donations for prizes & ideas for type of music.
Lee checked into insurance (less than $100 for the day). Carl is working on safety program and has contacted dealers to show safety equipment (goggles, helmets, etc.). He would like to get a decibel meter to use that day. Barb, Terry & board members will meet Saturday to work on specifics of event.
Club promo & raffle - okay with Lee to do at annual Wheel Inn Pig Roast on May 28th (Memorial weekend). Can use Iron Snowshoe’s raffle license.
Club banners from Pepsi are done
Membership cards given out to members present. Other cards & decals (when finished) will be mailed with April newsletter.
Glenn (Curve Inn) has 9/24 as possible date for ATV mud pull. Need to decide classes (4X2 & 4X4) & weight limits. Also insurance cost for the day and ways to accommodate vehicles & trailers.
NEW BUSINESS
Original members who haven’t rejoined - members will try to contact those they know.
Trail maintenance - Shane will put together a schedule
Tread Lightly Program - Carl is now a Master Trainer and can teach & certify others. Will put on Tread Lightly seminar and get teaching materials & “Lightfoot” costume for 6/11 event.
Lloyd - will make wooden headers for club bulleting boards to be placed at Wheel Inn, Cross Roads & Corner Convenience.
Connie - contacted Pamp’s and they will give us a snowmobile or ATV on consignment for a raffle. Would allow us to trailer them up for 6/11 event. Tickets would probably be $5.00 or 4/$20.00. We would need add’l prizes.
Jerry & Carl will put together a schedule of informal club rides for the season
Need to locate club’s wooden sign and safety vests.
Door prize - Dale won a cheese box donated by Terry Schmelzle.
