Meeting Minutes from 7/16/05

Welcome members to our third newsletter of the year.  Much has been done since we set goals in January to boost club membership and promote our ATV club.

Membership Update
We now have over 100 single or family memberships......the most in our club’s history.

Club Promotion
Woodland Trails has a full page color ad in the Spring issue of WATVA magazine.  Also, check out our four new wooden information  signs located on the trail and large Pepsi banners located at the businesses.

Wheel Inn Pig Roast
The annual event was May 29th. This year our club set up a booth for membership sign up and merchandise sales.

1st Annual Fund Raiser
On June 11th the club held it’s 1st Annual Membership Drive/Fund Raiser at the Corner Convenience.  The event was a success with plenty of good food and lots of great raffle prizes. Carl set up a display table of safety equipment and a safety course for the kids. Many club  T-shirts and hats were sold and several new members signed up. Ideas for next year include changing the date to sometime in July and moving event to the Cty. W side of the corner. A special thank you to Tony Cyr (event chairman) and the many members who helped out.

Thank You Land Owners
To show our appreciation for the role they play in our club’s existence, land owners on the trail were sent a “thank you” letter, gift certificate and a lifetime membership.

Trail Maintenance
Jerry Thirion and his crew of woodchucks have been out twice in the last few weeks spreading wood chips on much needed areas of the trail.

Crivitz July 4th Parade
Thanks to the hard work of Mike Cyr and friends, the Woodland Trails ATV Club float took 4th place in the parade.  The Peshtigo Times  reported 79 units participated and were judged on originality, theme, costume design and patriotism. Great job, Mike!

Club Ride
Our July meeting was a  short one at the Park & Ride after which members went on a very hot and dusty first club ride of the year.  Some of the members rode in the Coleman Fireman’s Picnic Parade that day.

No Mud Pull This Year
It was decided the club will not sponsor the Curve Inn Mud Pull this September due to time constraints with set up and promotion.

Trail Patrol
If you patrol the trails, go in pairs and please wear the proper riding gear i.e. shirt, safety vest, proper shoes and helmet.

Cystic Fibrosis Fund Raiser
This event is Sat. August 20th at the Crossroads from noon til 8PM. It is our club community service and volunteers are needed for Friday / set-up, Saturday / for a 2 hour shift & Sunday / clean-up.
