Meeting Minutes from 8/20/05
The August 20th meeting was called to order at 9AM at the Crossroads Bar.
TREASURER’S REPORT was deferred this month..
OLD BUSINESS
Club Ride....held July 20th was enjoyed by many. Pictures taken that day will be on our web page at a later date. Thank you to Mike Cyr & members who represented our club by riding in the Coleman Fireman’s Parade that day.
Trail Maintenance.....Thanks to Harold’s use of the drag and Jerry & his crew spreading wood chips the trail looks great!
Trail Maps.... members felt even with maps on the trail, paper maps are still needed. Ideally, Marinette Co. will redo their map soon and our trail will be included on it. We could also try to have a joint map with another club. It was agreed to continue with our own maps for now and reimbursing the club secretary for printing supplies.
WATVA Magazine.... has again featured our full page ad in its Summer/Fall edition. Next year we will have our list of events advertised as well.
Door Prize....a wine & cheese basket donated by Terry Burbey was won by Shane.

NEW BUSINESS
Manure spreader... it was voted on to let Jerry deal on and purchase one from a local dealer. This piece of equipment would be used for spreading wood chips. We will look into possible reimbursement from the Iron Snowshoe Club.
Mud Pull.... it was decided the
club will not sponsor a Mud Pull at the Curve Inn until the trail
expands to include the Curve Inn. Members would be willing to help
out and promote a mud pull if Glenn holds one.
It was suggested to have a club ride (weather permitting) in
February or March to include a stop at the Curve Inn.
Fall Poker Run.... Jerry & Carl are still planning a club poker run for September or October.
Event Schedule 2006...the club will be setting the dates for next year’s events at the September meeting. Plans include a Spring & Fall Poker Run and the 2nd Annual Membership Drive/Fund Raiser at the Corner Convenience. We will also set up a booth at the Wheel Inn Pig Roast in May and help at the CF Fund Raiser at the Crossroads Bar in August. Please come prepared with specific dates and ideas.
The meeting adjourned at 10AM. Some members stayed to help out at the CF Event.
REMINDERS
DNR Safety Class
This 6 hour class is now a requirement for kid’s ages 11 to 16 who
want to ride an ATV. Please contact Carl if interested.
End of Year Party
Our end of year meeting/party will be October 15th @ 10AM
at the Crossroads. It will be a club sponsored spaghetti dinner and buy
your own drinks at the bar. Bring a dessert if you’d like.
An RSVP is needed if you plan to come so Tom & Carol can plan accordingly. Call Susie @ 715-757-9395 or 920-499-4755. There will be no meetings Nov., Dec. or Jan. but we will need next year’s schedule of events set by October’s meeting.
