Meeting Minutes from 9/17/05

The September 17th meeting was called to order at 9:10AM at the Wheel Inn Bar.

MINUTES from August were accepted.

TREASURER’S REPORT was accepted.

OLD BUSINESS

• Manure spreader was purchased. Jerry, Lloyd & Jim tore it down & repaired it. The John Deere spreader may be a collector’s item. It works well & spreads chips on the trail. Will get chips piled in several locations to avoid so many miles on the spreader. Voted to keep spreader for our club’s use only. Jerry will seek a place for winter storage. Will get pictures/article to Pestigo Times & WATVA showing what Woodland Trails is doing to keep the trails up.

• Cystic Fibrosis Fund Raiser held in August at the Crossroads raised $9,000.00.
  Club members assisted in set up, dunk tank & take down. Jerry thanks all who helped.

NEW BUSINESS

• Adopt A Highway...we have adopted County W from Parkway to Caldron Falls Road. Will do a Fall clean up day & use ATV’s for pickup.

• County Map...Erik said they are working on a new Marinette County map which will include our trail.

• Biggest Beach Party...Oct. 1st & 8th from 10AM to 5PM @ Boat Landing #3. Jim will man a booth to sell merchandise & have membership applications. Looking for volunteers.
  Club voted all new member applications at this time of year be for 2006.

MEETINGS/EVENTS 2006
(All dates are tentative)

2/18/06 - Board Meeting only but members are invited.

3/18/06 - Regular meeting at Wheel Inn. If there is snow we will schedule a ride.

4/8/06 - Meet at Crossroads for Spring cleanup. Shane & Jerry will direct the crews for Hwy W cleanup also.

5/28/06 - Annual Fund Raiser will coordinate with the Pig Roast at Wheel Inn. Procedures for profits will be written up & clearly understood this year. Lee will reap the profits from the food & beverage sales. The club will again have raffles. Tony will chair with a co-chair. Club members will assist with food sales & preparation of food by Bruce. Terry will assist with prizes. Rocker Band will perform.

6/17/06 - Meeting @ Crossroads with ride to follow.

8/19/06 - Club Ride.

9/16/06 - Meeting @ Wheel Inn with ride to follow.

10/21/06 - End of Year Party.
  

Dates of 2006 events will be in our Ad in WATVA Trail Tales.  

Potential extension of trails will be plotted out in Jan or Feb 2006.

Postcards will be sent to all paid members regarding the free spaghetti dinner October 15th. The dinner was moved to 2PM. A club ride is planned at 10AM.
